In an unprecedented wave of news, KLab announced that the global version of the Utano Princesama Shining Live mobile game will be officially shutting down on December 26, 14:00 [JST]. The developer also shared the upcoming schedule for what will happen as we approach the end of October.
▍Utano Princesama Shining Live Shutdown Schedule
Here’s the planned schedule for the game, in chronological order:
■ After the October 25, 2022 Scheduled maintenance
Photos that were available in Normal Photo Shoots up to June 2022 (Daybreak of the Ocean) will be added to the lineup, with the exception of the Shining Stage Sanrio Collab cards. Furthermore, the UR pull rate for Normal Photo Shoots will be raised to 6%.
■ October 26, 2022
The Shining Live Pass subscription service will no longer be available to purchase. Those who have it active will receive a cancellation e-mail from Google Play automatically. You can still take advantage of the Pass advantages until the next billing period.
■ November 30, 2022
Prisms and other Limited-Time Items will no longer be available to purchase. At the same time, Special Photo Shoots will no longer be available.
■ December 19, 2022
All* of the Photo Shoot and Event Photos up until August 2022 will be added to the Memorial Bangle Exchange. Players can exchange each card for just 1 Memorial Bangle each.
*The Sanrio collaboration UR cards will not be added.
■ December 26, 2022
The Utano Princesama Shining Live app will be delisted from the app stores, and new account creation will no longer be possible.

Utano Princesama Shining Live is an anime rhythm game with idol-raising features developed by KLab in partnership with series developer Broccoli. It was released on August 28, 2017 in Japan and on January 24, 2018 globally. In the game, players can collect Photos and then unlock new voice clips, original fully-voiced side stories, and special outfits, and play a selection of Utano Princesama songs, while interacting with the idols of Shining Productions.
