The Tomo-Chan is a Girl anime announced that the anime is coming on January 4 and that it will be a 13-episode full-length TV anime series!
The anime also released a new key visual and trailer, which previewed the ending theme song “yurukuru＊love”. The ending theme song is being performed by Rie Takahashi, Rina Hidaka, and Sally Amaki who plays Aizawa Tomo, Misuzu Gundou, and Carol Olston respectively.
The anime unveiled a list of new staff members including chief animation directors Miyako Kamiya and Motohiro Taniguchi, and Art Director Ken’ichi Tatefuji who is also working on Art Design with Kouji Okamoto at Vectart. Colour Key Artist Tomoko Yamazaki, Compositing Director of Photography Yomogiko Murano, Editor Gō Sadamatsu, and Sound Director Masanori Tsuchiya at INSPION Edge.

The story follows high school girl Aizawa Tomo, tomboy, judo enthusiast, and an absolute monster in strength as she confesses her feelings to her childhood sweetheart, Junichirou Kubota! Unfortunately for her, Junichirou’s been hanging out with Tomo for so long, that he can’t see her as anything but a guy, even when wearing a skirt! The series follows the two, and Tomo’s friends as she tries to convince Jun that she is a girl, and be in a real relationship, despite Tomo knowing nothing about what it’s like!
