Cyberstep announced a new visual novel titled Welcome Kokuri-San starring the independent VTuber Kurune Kokuri.
The game will be fully voice-acted and feature “realistic ASMR voices” so players can enjoy the title as if Kokuri was actually right next to their ears.
The game’s premise has your player character hearing about a rumour on how to summon a fox spirit. After heading to the school alone at night, and chanting the “Kokuri-san” spell, Kurune Kokuri appears before you and you both go on a journey to investigate the school’s seven wonders.
The title is set for release in Winter 2023 for Playstation 4, Switch, PC, and iOS and Android devices in English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese.
▍About Kurune Kokuri
Kurune Kokuri is a “high grade Fox spirit VTuber”. She is an independent VTuber that used to be a part of the Axel-V VTuber agency before it disbanded shortly after it formed due to a lack of support. Out of 5 members, Kurune Kokkuri and Hinokami Hikone continued their activities as independent VTubers.
Kokuri has a soft voice that she normally shows off during gameplay streams and also drinking streams she often hosts every Friday. She’s especially well-known for her various ASMR streams which make up the bulk of her channel’s output, and as such are also the focus of the upcoming title.
