The television anime The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 has revealed a new trailer announcing the opening, and ending theme songs, and the premiere date. The second season, spilt into two parts, will adapt the biggest episode of the light novel, The Great Spirit Arc.
The opening theme song featured in the trailer is “SEIEN” by Lenny code fiction, and the ending theme is “Esoa” by Momosumomosu. All voice cast from the first season will reprise their roles, with the exception of Tatsuhisa Suzuki, who will be replaced by Yūichirō Umehara as the new voice of Anos Volidigoad.
The Misfit of Demon King Academy 2nd Season will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11 on January 7, 2023. At the same time as terrestrial broadcasting, it will be delivered on dAnime Store streaming website and other sites as well.
The Misfit of Demon King Academy is a story that begins when Anos Voldigord, the Demon King of Tyranny, dreamed of a peaceful world and reincarnated into the future. The first season of the TV anime premiered on July 2020.

Once the ruler of the world and has led a life of absolute destruction, warfare, and death. The demon king Anos Voligoad decides to find peace from the mundane life of bloodshed and decides to reincarnate himself in the future into an age of peace.
When Anos is reborn, he finds himself in a world where magic wielders have to attend an academy to develop their abilities. Retaining all of his memories and godlike powers, Anos attends the academy, enjoying his time as a revered student among his peers. However, he senses something lurking in the shadows, and while living his life as a student, decides to find out more about the world that he left behind 2000 years ago.
