Death Stranding is Getting Adapted into a Film

As reported by Deadline’s Matt Grobar, Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding is getting a film being worked on by Hammerstone Studios

Hammerstone Studios worked on recent films such as 2022’s Barbarian, Bill and Ted Face the Music, the Uncharted Live Action Fan Film featuring Nathan Fillion, and the upcoming sequel to Kung Fury, Kung Fury 2. The film itself is being produced by Hideo Kojima and Alex Lebovici of Hammerstone Studios.

The cast for the movie has not yet been revealed, which is odd as you’d think it would star Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, Elle Fanning and many other characters as their characters, but hopefully, we will learn more about the show’s cast in the coming months.

Death Stranding’s Director’s cut is available on PS5, and PC via Steam.

About Death Stranding

Death Stranding is an open-world action game and the first title by Hideo Kojima’s studio Kojima Productions after he left Konami.

The game centres around Sam Bridges, a porter and deliveryman who delivers packages and cargo to various isolated cities around the United States after a massive catastrophe left most of the world uninhabitable as creatures called Beached Things (BTs) roam the land.

After a series of events, Sam is tasked with establishing the Chiral Network, a series of informational exchange hubs similar to the internet to connect the various cities of the country once more to re-establish the United States.
