Cyberstep has renamed the Black Stella Iи:FernØ mobile game to Black Stella Ptolomea, which will be launching for iOS and Android in Spring 2023. It also revealed a new character visual by illustrator Oguchi highlighting the project’s heroines.
The game will also be joining Comiket 101 held at Tokyo Big Sight from December 30 at the Cyberstep booth. Advance pre-registration for the game will be available for the visitors.
The mobile game project Black Stella was initially announced by Fuji Games in 2019 but was suspended. CyberStep joins with ScopeNext to reboot the project under the title of Black Stella Iи:FernØ. The 3D multiplayer tower defense game was finally released in June 2022 but shut down three months later as the company decided to relaunch it as a turn-based command RPG.
The project is known for its star-studded creator including scenarios written by Re:Zero author Tappei Nagatsuki and How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend author Fumiaki Maruto. The world setting is created by Girls und Panzer’s Takaaki Suzuki. Kingdom Hearts’ Yoko Shimomura is one of the composers.

The story of Black Stella Iи:FernØ is set in the year 1999 after a series of mysterious explosions wiped out half of the population of Tokyo. A gigantic crater suddenly appears with unidentified monsters swallowing the entire Minato ward. And because of this, Tokyo has been isolated from Japan and the rest of the world.
