At today’s Jump Festa 2023, the new television anime adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki’s Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story shōnen manga has revealed the second trailer and two additional cast members. The anime is scheduled to debut in 2023.

The reboot anime will pick up everything from the very beginning of the series where Kenshin first meets Kamiya Kaoru during a fight, who later offers him a place to stay. Kenshin accepts and begins to establish lifelong relationships with many people such as Sagara Sanosuke, a former Sekihō Army member; Myōjin Yahiko, an orphan from a samurai family who is also living with Kaoru as her student.
