Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom Anime Film Streams Main Character PVs

The anime film adaptation of Nao Iwamoto’s Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom manga has unveiled promotional videos introducing the two main characters, their backgrounds, and the highlights of the film, narrated by Hiroshi Kamiya, Saladin’s voice actor.

A world premiere event was held at the Animation Is Film Festival in Los Angeles on October 21, 2022, and the anime film adaptation by Madhouse is set to premiere in Japan on January 27, 2023.

The two characters featured in the PV are Sarah played by actress Minami Hamabe, the quiet 93rd princess of the Golden Kingdom who despite being a member of the royal family is forgotten by everyone, and Naranbayar by actor Kent Kaku, a poor architect who lives in the Water Kingdom blessed with abundant greenery and water.

The theme songs used in the film are performed by the Japanese singer Kotone, who sings “Yasashii Yokan”, “Brand New World” and “Love Birds”.

About Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom

Kin no Kuni Mizu no Kuni is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nao Iwamoto. It was serialized in Shogakukan’s Flower Comics Special from October 2014 to April 2016, with its eight chapters collected into one volume. The manga ranked No. 1 in the female section of “Kono Manga ga Sugoi!” 2017.

The story is a fantasy set in two countries that are at odds with each other. Sarah, a princess of the Gold Kingdom, and Naranbayar, the smartest young man in the Water Kingdom, meet by chance and fall in love while pretending to be a married couple to protect the peace between their countries.
