During the 2023 Bushiroad New Year Grand Presentation, Bushiroad introduced a brand-new gaming label called Bushiroad Games. This new label will be integrated into their mobile game label Bushimo and aims to expand the creation of console, PC, and mobile digital content for the worldwide market.
Among the several titles that the developer announced, it was revealed that a new visual novel game based on the Shōjo Kageki/Revue Starlight media franchise will be coming in Winter 2023 to Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
The game will be developed by Front Wing Lab, who are known for their work in Grisaia: Phantom Trigger and ATRI -My Dear Moments- and written by Tatsuto Higuchi, who also provided the script for Revue Starlight The Movie. Further information such as the official game title will be revealed at a later date.
▍About Revue Starlight
In case you didn’t know, Shōjo Kageki, or Revue Starlight in English, is a Japanese media franchise created in 2017 by Bushiroad, Nelke Planning, and Kinema Citrus. The series primarily consists of a series of musicals, debuting between September 22 and 24, 2017 at the AiiA 2.5 Theater Tokyo, a 12-episode anime television series directed by Tomohiro Furukawa which aired between July and September 2018; and two animated films, released on August 7, 2020, and June 4, 2021, which abridged and continued the story of the anime.
Furthermore, the series has received three manga adaptations, all of which began serialization in January 2018. A smartphone game titled Revue Starlight RE Live was released and continues to be active to this day around the world.
