Marvelous announced that it will release three consecutive story videos per week to convey the worldview of its upcoming smartphone RPG Sakura Ignoramus for iOS and Android. The first video, “Ruin and Rebirth” started streaming on its official YouTube channel.
The video introduces the City State Owari Country, the devastated Japan in which the game takes place, and the four Kunoichi main characters. The second official livestream will be held on February 1 and in-game screens will be shown as a game information disclosure special.
Sakura Ignoramus is the successor to gumi’s smartphone RPG Shinobi Nightmare, a 3D turn-based RPG featuring ninjas in a futuristic setting with demons and laser-beam-style weapons and sabres. The game was released in 2016 but was shut down later on.
The title isn’t a direct sequel to Shinobi Nightmare but will include a story collection to let you view and learn the stories of the girls from Shinobi Nightmare, as their stories run parallel to Sakura Ignoramus and may even appear in the game someday. The game is set to release in 2023.
