It was announced that Koume Fujichika’s The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses romantic comedy manga series is receiving a television anime adaptation that is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2023.
The author of the manga has also showcased an illustration commemorating the announcement of the adaptation, together with a countdown website set to reveal more news on February 1 at 10:00 (GMT+9).
▍About The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses
The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koume Fujichika. First published on the author’s Twitter account in April 2018, it then began serialization in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker magazine in November of that same year.
The story is a “zero-distance” romantic comedy, that follows Ai Mie, a girl with a natural tendency to forget her glasses, and Kaede Komura, a boy in junior high school who is a bit reserved.
Komura-kun, who likes Mie, tries to support her, who often gets into trouble, such as not being able to distinguish people’s faces and not knowing where her shoe box is because she keeps forgetting her glasses. However, because of her poor eyesight, she keeps unconsciously getting closer to his face which makes him very nervous.
