ARES announced that a Nintendo Switch version of the romance adventure game Hyper Highspeed Genius will be released on April 20 in Japan, with pre-orders scheduled to begin on January 26. The physical version will be priced at JPY$7,480, the downloadable version at JPY$6,800, and the limited first edition at JPY$12,980.
This Switch port is an all-ages version of the PC software released by Windmill in 2011. Set in a world where people with special talents and abilities called “gifts” exist, the game tells the love story of Akechi Kyuushirou (CV: Kaiou Raku), who, without any abilities, is trying to change the world in a dark way.
The game is planned and scenario written by Kenji Saito (Trinity Seven) with illustrations by Yukiwo (Dropkick on My Devil) and popular illustrator Miyasurisa. The Switch version has been upscaled to full HD using the ultra-high-resolution image data used in the development of the original version, allowing players to enjoy even more beautiful images.
