Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that its Tales of the Rays mobile game is getting a major update titled “Recollection” that will add a new scenario, a new game mode, and a feature allowing you to look back the history of the Tales series.
Seven new characters created by manga artist Kōsuke Fujishima are also revealed. Fujishima is known to be the author of the manga Oh My Goddess!, and has provided character designs for Sakura Wars and multiple Tales of games including Tales of Symphonia, Tales of the Abyss, and Tales of Vesperia.
In conjuntion with the announcement, Tales of the Rays revealed a new key visual and animated opening movie in collaboration with Wit Studio. The movie also showcases a tie-in song “Back to Life” by Ayaka Hirahara.
The new scenario is written by Takumi Miyajima, who is known to create the scenario for Tales of Symphonia and Tales of the Abyss. Additional information about the updates will be streamed on a live-stream program scheduled for March 30.
The Recollection update will also feature a completely revamped battle system that is easier to grasp for new players. A new mode that allows you to enjoy the histories of the Tales of series will also be updated in the game.
