Bandai Namco announced that its upcoming action RPG Sword Art Online: Last Recollection will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 5 in Japan and October 6 worldwide. Two limited editions of the game will also be available in Japan.
In the meantime, fans can enjoy a music video retracing the entire story of the Sword Art Online anime and video game series. The video features Japanese singer ReoNa and is sure to evoke feelings of nostalgia for fans on the 10th anniversary of the series.
The Last Recollection Edition will include a special box featuring the key visual illustration by abec, a copy of the game, a special case that contains the original soundtrack CD and an original drama CD, a copy of Dengeki NerveGear Vol. 7, and an acrylic board featuring the key visual illustration by abec.
The 10th Anniversary Memorial Edition will include all the content of the Last Recollection Edition, as well as a picture frame of the key visual illustration by abec, a t-shirt, acrylic stands of Kirito and Asuna, a special box, and a download code for the Premier Pass, Premier Pass purchase bonuses, and the Sword Art Online Game Series Battle Background Music Pack.
Players can look forward to a new adventure with Kirito and his friends in Sword Art Online: Last Recollection. This game will offer an alternate story to the original Sword Art Online: War of Underworld anime arc, while retaining the dark tone and thrilling action scenes from the original work, also introducing new original game characters.
