Kore Yamazaki, the creator behind the manga series The Ancient Magus Bride, and Ghost and Witch revealed that both of these series will be going on hiatus.
Thankfully the reason these series are going on hiatus isn’t because of any underlying health conditions and seems to only be giving time for Yamazaki to finally take a break, and think of the story for both of these series. It will also be a way to give Yamazaki some time to think of the upcoming story beats, as a while back the series’ upcoming “Kemono Beasts” arc would also be starting after the College arc.
Meanwhile, the Ghost and Witch is another series from Yamazaki and it recently shipped its first volume on March 10, the same day as volume 19 of The Ancient Magus’ Bride.

The Ancient Magus Bride / Mahoutsukai no Yome is a manga series created by Kore Yamazaki and published in Comic Blade Magazine from 2013 to 2014, before moving onto the Monthly Comic Gargen Magazine by Mag Garden.
The Ancient Magus Bride has received multiple spinoffs and adaptations, including 2 manga series, 6 original video animation episodes, and the current anime series being produced by WIT studio.
