The anime based on Koume Fujichika’s The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses released its first teaser trailer showing off some brilliant animation, and a key visual, and also announced the show’s cast and staff!
The anime will star Masahiro Itou as Kaede Homura, and Shion Wakayama as Ai Mie. You may recognize Masahiro Itou as the voice actor for Zakusa Ishigame in Cardfight!!! Vanguard, and Shion Wakayama as Takina Inou from Lycoris Recoil! Koume Fujichika also released a new illustration showing the lovable pair reading off a script, with Ai of course forgetting her glasses again!
The anime’s being handled by Susumu Kudo as the chief director at GoHands, Katsumasa Yokomine as the series director with Tamazō Yanagi on the scripts, Shingo Suzuki on concept art, and Takayuki Uchida as the character designer. Additionally and Hiroshi Okubo is the main animator with Chief animation directors including Keiji Tani, Makoto Furuta, and Takayuki Uchida. Hisashi Muramatsu is the sound director at Glovision with Jimmy Thumb P composing the music at Flying Dog.

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses is a manga series created by Koume Fujichika, and the series was originally published on their Twitter account before it got picked up by Square Enix, and then got published in its monthly Gangan Joker magazine.
Kaede Komura is a run-of-the-mill student in junior high school who’s a little bit reserved and is seated next to Ai Mie, a somewhat aloof and pretty girl to who he always pays attention, and wishes she’d look at him the same way he does.
Komura-kun’s wish is granted when one day Ai Mie forgets her glasses, and actually, she forgets them quite often, causing Ai to squint as it turns out she’s incredibly near-sighted, causing her to almost press up against something, or someone to see them properly! The series follows the pair’s hijinks as Komura tries to help he navigate when forgetting her glasses, as Ai is clueless as to how Komura’s reacting due to how poor her eyesight is.
