It was announced that Misato Mitsumi, Tatsuki Amazuyu, and Tamiki Wakaki’s 16bit Sensation: Watashi to Minna ga Tsukutta Bishōjo Game manga is inspiring an original anime TV series titled 16bit Sensation Another Layer.
16bit Sensation is originally a dōjinshi launched at Comic Market in December 2016. Kadokawa Shoten started publishing it in collected tankōbon volumes in September 2020, with two volumes released as of November 2021.
The story is based on the author’s experiences with Misato Mitsumi and Tatsuki Amazuyu at Aquaplus, the developers behind the popular game series Utawaremono and To Heart, among others.
The teaser visual released at the same time depicts Konoha Akisato, the main character of the anime version, and Meiko Uehara, who also appears in the original story, by Mitsumi, one of the authors of the original story.
The manga illustrator Tamiki Wakaki expressed his joy about the news, saying that he is ecstatic that his work is becoming an anime! As a result of his outburst of joy, he ended up creating an original story that celebrates all beautiful girls. He also mentions that certain onomatopeias will also be finally possible to listen to.
