Horror mangaka Junji Ito (伊藤潤二) is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his career this year with a TV anime series. The artist’s manga collections The Junji Ito Horror Comic Collection (伊藤潤二傑作集) and Ma no Kakera (魔の断片) will be adapted into the anime.
The Junji Ito Horror Comic Collection consists of 11 volumes which include famous stories like Tomie and Souichi’s Diary of Delights. Ma no Kakera is a collection of eight short stories.

Diabolik Lovers’ director Shinobu Tagashira is directing the anime and designing the characters for it. It is currently in production at Studio Deen, expected to be out in Winter 2018.
