Netflix has unveiled the main trailer loaded with new scenes for the upcoming Ultraman anime’s final season, the third and last of the popular anime series. The final season of the anime series will be available for streaming on Netflix from May 11, 2023.

The trailer starts off with Ultraman standing alone in a city engulfed in flames, as an eerie dialogue about killing the faith in Ultraman and the curse of his power sets an ominous tone. Ultraman is seemingly tainted by evil, along with hints at a deeper power hidden within protagonist Shinjiro Hayata, whose reckless behavior raises questions about his true nature.

The opening theme song, featured in the unveiled trailer, is “RAYS,” a collaboration between the band Noilion and j-rock singer Miyavi. The ending theme song, “AVIATION,” is performed by Void_Chords feat. Ryohei & Foggy-D.

Director Kenji Kamiyama expressed his excitement and sadness as the show comes to an end, saying, “Long-time fans and those who are just discovering the series can watch it in their own way, and I hope they enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.”

Director Shinji Aramaki promised fans an epic finale, saying, “We poured all our effort into this season to make it a satisfying conclusion to the Ultraman series. From the start, we wanted to create a story that was true to the original series, and I think we’ve done that. I can’t wait for fans to see it.”

About Ultraman Anime

The Ultraman franchise began with the publication of the first manga in 1966 by Eiji Tsuburaya and Hisashi Sakawa. The manga was then adapted into a popular television series later. Since then, the franchise has grown to include multiple television series, films, anime, and manga adaptations.

The franchise is owned by Tsuburaya Productions, which was founded by Eiji Tsuburaya, the co-creator of the original series. The franchise has been expanded by many other authors over the years, but its core concept of a giant hero protecting Earth from danger has remained a constant.

The series follows the story of Ultraman, a giant alien being who comes to Earth to protect it from various threats. The main character, Shinjiro Hayata, merges with Ultraman to fight monsters and aliens that threaten Earth.
