HuneX announced that it will be releasing the Hana Awase otome game on Nintendo Switch on October 26, 2023. The game will support Japanese audio, with Japanese English, Tradition, and Simplified Chinese text options.
The Nintendo Switch version collects the series’ four games that were released for PC between 2012 and 2019. The four volumes of the series include Mizuchi Volume, Himeutsugi Volume, Karakurenai / Utsutsu Volume, and Iroha Volume. The titles will be available as a bundle and also on sale separately.
The Nintendo Switch port is added with a new original short story and a renewed design to make it even easier to play. The game’s Hana Awase New Moon Complete Set is priced at JPY$19,200 and includes all four volumes featuring a newly-illustrated box by the character designer Yura.
The story of Hana Awase revolves around Mikoto, a young woman who’s fascinated by card games and comes across a special Hanafuda variation called Kasen. As part of a special academy focused on the game, she strives to be skilled at Kasen and become a Mimano, a maiden capable of bringing inspiration to the top male students known as the Gokou.

■ Mikoto (Name Interchangeable)
The protagonist of this game. She is not dexterous, but she is easily addicted to things, and when she learns about the world of the Kasen card game, she becomes immersed in it. She enjoys cooking, sewing, and card games.
■ Iroha – CV: Takuma Terashima
A man who exudes sex appeal, and charms people just by making eye contact with them. Stoic and uninterested in worldly affairs, he rarely shows his emotions.
■ Mizuchi – CV: Jun Fukuyama
A serious and inflexible character. He has a passionate side and will devote himself to the person he falls in love with, and is ruthless in his pursuit of those who betray him.
■ Karakurenai – CV: Satoshi Hino
He is a belligerent and self-confident person who loves battles and blood and has an attitude that tests people.
■ Himeutsugi – CV: Shinnosuke Tachibana
He has a friendly personality and can get along with anyone, regardless of gender.
He puts other people’s feelings before his own and sometimes gets too emotionally involved.
■ Utsutsu – CV: Noriaki Sugiyama
He was chosen as a Gokou when he was promoted to the second grade, but he has since disappeared, and few people know about him. He is eccentric and obsessed with Mikoto.
