Sugar Apple Fairy Tale Anime Part 2 Premieres on July 7

The second cour of the television anime Sugar Apple Fairy Tale is confirmed to premiere on July 7. Along with the announcement, a new trailer featuring the anime’s opening theme and six additional cast members were unveiled.

The additional cast members include Nobuhiko Okamoto as Orlando Langston, a candy craftsman at the Paige Workshop, Kōji Okino as King, Atsushi Tamaru as Valentine, Shōya Chiba as Nadir, Sōma Saitō a Gladys, and Manaka Iwami as Noah.

The fantasy series follows Ann Halford a young girl who aspires to be a top-class Silver Sugar Master, and Shall, a warrior fairy whom she employs as her travel guard. The first cour of the anime premiered in January this year. The unveiled trailer offers viewers a glimpse into the continued adventures of Ann and Shall from the first cour. The opening theme song, previously revealed, showcased in the trailer is “Surprise” by Rei Nakashima.

The latest volume of the original novel series, Sugar Apple Fairy Tale: Gin Satōshi to Shikon no Rakuen (Silver Sugar Master and Purplish-Black Paradise), will be released on August 1. A rough sketch of the cover illustration by Aki, the illustrator of the light novels, was unveiled.

The light novels are also getting a new manga adaptation this summer on Flos Comic, featuring a new chapter “Gin Satōshi no Ie” (The House of the Silver Sugar Master) by Cosaji.

About Sugar Apple Fairy Tale

Sugar Apple Fairy Tale is a Japanese fantasy light novel series written by Miri Mikawa and illustrated by aki. Kadokawa Shoten has published seventeen volumes from March 2010 to February 2015 under their Kadokawa Beans Bunko imprint. The series has been published in English by Yen Press under the Yen On imprint since October 4, 2022.

The story takes place in the Kingdom of Highland, where fairies serve humans, and centers on a girl named Ann. Ann’s mother recently passed away, so Ann decides to carry on the family trade and become a Silver Sugar Master, a special artisan who can create magical candy. With her foul-mouthed fairy bodyguard Shall, she sets out on a journey to the capital.
