Outright Games, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, announced a new addition to the Jumanji hit franchise, Jumanji: Wild Adventures, an officially licensed extension of the latest generation of Jumanji films. The release date is set for November 3, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The announcement of the game has been accompanied by a compelling trailer that offers a glimpse into its gameplay, and it seems that the game is packed with evading lava and spiders with 2D platformer and arcade-style top-down beat-em-up elements.
In the game, players can anticipate a hilarious and thrilling multiplayer adventure with the return of the world’s bravest explorers, including Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse, Franklin “Mouse” Finbar, and Professor Shelly Oberon. The game’s objective is to locate The Jewel of Jumanji, a mysterious artifact that holds the key to finding the way home while navigating the vast and dangerous world of Jumanji.
The game, developed by Cradle Games, promises an expansive universe that is four times bigger than the previous title, Jumanji: The Video Game. This follow-up game introduces unexplored jungles, abandoned villages, and icy mountains, elevating the danger with even more perilous encounters and unlockable special items.
With distinct and humorous personalities, just like in the movie, each character has its unique strengths. Players will have the freedom to customize their playstyle using unlockable powers and abilities. The game offers both solo and 4-player local co-op modes, emphasizing the essence of teamwork in navigating the treacherous puzzles and formidable enemies of the jungle.
