The third season of the popular isekai comedy anime series, KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!, has been officially confirmed to arrive in 2024! The announcement was revealed right after the end of the anime spin-off KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!
Along with the news, an “ultra-teaser visual” has been released, featuring the four main characters, Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness. The visual also introduces the catchphrase, “That’s right, let’s go on an adventure,” hinting at the exciting journeys the quirky quartet will undertake in the upcoming season.
Konosuba, which originated from a light novel series published by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko and written by Natsume Akatsuki, has been a massive hit in the anime world since its initial broadcast. The third season of the series will continue the narrative following the events of the 2019 film, “God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!: Legend of Crimson.”
Takaomi Kanasaki, who has worked on the series since its inception, will serve as Chief Director, while Yujiro Abe will take on the role of Director. Series Composition will be handled by Makoto Uezu, with Character Design by Koichi Kikuta. The Animation Production for the upcoming season will be handled by Studio Drive.
Additionally, the original main cast from previous seasons is reprising their roles, including Jun Fukushima as Kazuma Satō, Ai Kayano as Darkness, Rie Takahashi as Megumin, and Sora Amamiya as Aqua.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! or “KonoSuba!” as it is popularly known, is a Japanese light novel series penned by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. Published by Kadokawa Shōten, the series spans 17 volumes, released under Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko from October 1, 2013, to May 1, 2020. The series was also adapted into a manga, illustrated by Masahito Watari, which began serialization in the shōnen manga magazine Dragon Age on September 9, 2014. The light novel series has been published in English as Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! by Yen Press since February 21, 2017.
The anime adaptation, produced by Studio DEEN, aired its first season between January 12 and March 15, 2016, followed by a second season aired between January 11 and March 15, 2017. A movie titled “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!: Legend of Crimson”, produced by J.C.Staff premiered in Japan on August 30, 2019.
KonoSuba! takes on a whimsical journey set in a fantastical world where Kazuma Satō, a hikikomori (shut-in) young man, finds himself after a sudden death. Reborn in this new world with RPG-like elements, Kazuma, alongside goddess Aqua, archwizard Megumin, and crusader Darkness, embarks on a series of misadventures that are as hilarious as they are outrageous.
