After being serialized for over three years, Robinson Haruhara and Hirakei’s fantasy comedy manga series, ‘Tis Time for Torture, Princess is getting an anime adaptation!
The series is a cute comedy series about the unnamed Princess, a fierce commander from an imperial army who was captured by the demonic Hellhorde in the middle of their war. She is subjected to torture by the Hellhorde to extract information out of her, but since regular torture is out of the question, the Hellhorde resort to more devilish, and more sinister acts of torture while the princess tries to resist!
The anime series will be handled by the studio Pine Jam, which was responsible for the recently finished Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible Anime, and the upcoming Paradox Live the Animation series. The anime will be directed by Yōko Kanemori, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu in charge of the series script, and character design by Satoshi Furuhashi and Toshiya Kōno, with Masaru Yokoyama in charge of music composition.
The anime has also cast Haruka Shiraishi as the Princess, Chikahiro Kobayashi as her sword, Ex, and Shizuka Itou as Torture Tortura, the woman seen in the trailer declaring the series’ iconic phrase and title, “‘Tis Time for Torture, Princess’.
The anime will be debuting in January 2024.
