Kadokawa released a new teaser trailer for its anime adaptation of Kei Sazane’s God’s Game We Play light novel series, a new visual for its cast members, and the series is set to debut sometime in 2024.
The gods that govern the world have grown bored and decided to spice existence a little with a game of wits. These games ranging from unfair, incomprehensible, and ridiculous challenges are available for all to partake in, and of course, being the gods, these challenges are obscenely unforgiving and impossible for mere mortals. That’s all about to change though as a genius gamer and a former goddess, an unlikely duo team up to take on the “Play of the Gods’ to represent humanity!
The series has cast the main character featured in the visual, including Nobunaga Shimazaki as Fay, with Akari Kitō being cast as Leoleshea. The anime series will be directed by Tatsuya Shiraishi at LIDEN FILMS, with NTL being in charge of the script, and Yoshiro Watanabe from Frontier One as the show’s character designer. The music is being composed at Pony Canyon by Gin from Busted Rose.
