Manga Hōzuki no Reitetsu, illustrated by Natsumi Eguchi and serialised in Weekly Morning magazine, is getting a new anime soon. Hōzuki no Reitetsu has already had a TV anime series aired in 2014.
The manga reveals the news on its 23rd volume, confirming that a new original animation DVD will be released on 23 March, 2017 and bundled with the limited edition of the 24th volume manga. The original animation DVD is only a part of the latest anime project, therefore a further anime series is possible. Director of the previous series, Hiro Kaburagi, will remain to be the chief director of this original animation DVD. Wit Studio, however, will be replaced by Studio Deen to animate the DVD.
