Arc System Works announced a host of news Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising, including but not least its long-awaited launch date of November 30!
Aside from its launch date, the game also announced that the game will be going partially free-to-play with a free edition of the game, letting players play with 4 characters, try out part 1 of the game’s story, and have lobby access with limited features, and full access to the Grand Bruise Legends minigame mode!
A second online beta was also announced coming in Fall 2023 with access to lobby matches, crossplay, and the Grand Bruise Legends mode. Players will be able to pre-order Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising’s standard, and deluxe edition starting from August 7.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is a 2.5D fighting game released on February 6, 2020, for consoles and PC, and Rising is the game’s enhanced update bringing in new characters to the game, such as Grimnir who was previewed in the latest trailer, along with other characters like Nier, Siegfried, Anila, and possibly more.
The game will also be adding new costumes, with the Guide to the Eternal Edge alternative costume for Gran and Djeeta being revealed, with more coming in future updates.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising features a variety of upgrades, including enhanced visuals to better match the aesthetic of the mobile game, several new mechanics to change how many of the characters play, and also adding new content such as an expanded story mode, and online features including the long-awaited Rollback Netcode feature and Crossplay, making it possible to play with more players globally with less lag.
New to the game is also the mini-game and lobby feature Grand Bruise Legends, which lets you play a sort of Fall Guys-style minigame with other players in your lobby as you go head to head in team-based minigames and battle royale modes while other players continue to duke it out in lobbies.
