At today’s “Atelier Series New Work Announcement” live stream, Koei Tecmo announced Atelier Resleriana ～Wasurerareta Renkinjutsu to Goku Yoru no Kaihōsha～ (The Forgotten Alchemy and the Liberator of the Polar Night), a cinematic alchemy RPG that is heading to mobile and PC via Steam. Developed in collaboration with Akatsuki Games, the game also opens for pre-registration today. Atelier Resleriana is set for a smartphone release in 2023.
Set in a world where alchemy was lost 150 years prior, the plot of Atelier Resleriana follows the inexperienced alchemist, Resna Sternenlicht, as she embarks on an adventure to discover a remote continent and revive the lost art of alchemy. Throughout her journey, characters like Isana, Saskia, and Roman make appearances, aiding her on this quest. The story’s premise was crafted by Takahiro, with the broader Atelier series being overseen by Shinichi Yoshiike.

The story is set in Lantana, a kingdom that once prospered due to alchemy. However, alchemy has now fallen into obscurity. The protagonist, Resna, dreams of reintroducing the forgotten art of alchemy to the world. She embarks on an adventure to the legendary land known as The Ends of the Continent, where clues to this ancient art are believed to lie dormant. The central theme of the game revolves around the stars.

■ Resna Sternenlicht – CV: Saho Shirasu
A budding alchemist. Resna is deeply passionate and knowledgeable about alchemy, so much so that she can be described as an alchemy otaku. When the conversation turns to alchemy, she gets so excited that she starts speaking rapidly. She dreams of reviving the now-declining art of alchemy to enrich people’s lives.
■ Isana Kokoshka – CV: Minami Tanaka
A vivacious beastkin girl and Resna’s close friend. From a young age, she aspired to become the kingdom’s top knight. She and Resna have pledged to help each other achieve their dreams and often encourage one another. Influenced by her blacksmith father, she wields a massive hammer as her weapon and has a particular fondness for it.
■ Roman – CV: Yūya Hirose
A self-proclaimed handsome adventurer that Resna encounters in the royal capital. He appears to have an interest in alchemy and offers to accompany Resna and her group. Though he’s a cheerful and whimsical person, his skills as an adventurer are unquestionable, handling any situation with finesse.
■ Saskia – CV: Mamiko Noto
Resna’s strict yet kind-hearted alchemy mentor. She met Resna in a village during her travels and took it upon herself to teach Resna the basics of alchemy. While Saskia has a bright and straightforward personality, she can be stern when it comes to the topic of alchemy. In her personal life, she’s somewhat messy, often leaving Resna to pick up after her.
▍Atelier Resleriana Pre-Registration Campaign
Players can now pre-register for the game by following the official Twitter, LINE, or Google Play Store. However, pre-registration on PC through Steam is slated for disclosure at a later time.
Upon hitting the 100,000 registrants mark, players will be gifted with 100 Star Guidance Stones; reaching 200,000 registrants brings an additional 100 Star Guidance Stones, aggregating to a total of 200; and upon achieving the 300,000 registrants milestone, players will receive a further 100 Star Guidance Stones, cumulating to 300, plus an SSR character.
