The Pierhead Arcade is a Virtual arcade created by Mechabit Ltd. which brings old-school pier arcade game to the modern virtual world! The game was released in September 2016 and since then, Mechabit has been adding more content for players to enjoy.
The Pierhead Arcade doesn’t feature any fancy graphics or visual effects. Instead, the game focuses on creating an immersive VR experience through traditional amusement park games and realistic in-game physics.
Starting the game, players are will get a view of all the games, from bowling and table tennis to arcade basketball and even carnival games.
The core gameplay of Pierhead Arcade is beautifully simple. All the mini-games have realistic physics which makes the controls very intuitive and easy to pick up. Each game lasts for around 60 minutes, but you can freely jump to another game whenever you want.
Although playing alone can be fun, the game also supports multiplayer, with a score leaderboard.
In all honesty, whilst the game is fun at first, it’s hard to imagine anyone investing a lot of time in it alone. As a single-player game it does have its limitations, but as a party game, the game is incredible.
