NetEase recently opened up a teaser website for an upcoming mobile, PC, and PlayStation 5 game tentatively titled Project Mugen by the studio Naked Rain. The studio came from part of NetEase’s Thunder Fire User Experience Center and will be its debut title.
The game is described as a “Massive Open World Experience”, and right now its teaser website features three characters all overlooking a sprawling urban city with a countdown ticking down to August 24, 10:00 [UTC+8]. Clicking on the characters when visiting the website will play a small voice line from them in either Chinese or Japanese with English subtitles.
Project Mugen currently has no release date but with the game’s English social media and website in English, it’s reasonably safe to assume this game will be launching internationally, with more info coming later this week.
You can visit the game’s website, Youtube channel, Twitter / X account, Discord, and TikTok to stay updated on the game. Viewing the website’s source code will reveal a hidden message, which will lead to a special Project Mugen teaser website that requires an ID and password to access.
