Naoki Yamakawa and Masashi Asaki’s My Home Hero manga series previously inspired an anime adaptation, and is now inspiring a live-action TV series and film adaptation!
The TV series is set to premiere on October 24 in Japan, with the film coming later in Spring 2024. The cast for the anime has been revealed including. Kuranosuke Sasaki as Tetsuo Tosu, Kyōhei Takahashi as Kyōichi Majima, Asuka Saitō as Reika Tosu, Tae Kimura as Kasen Tosu, Eisaku Yoshida as Yoshitatsu Matori, Takuma Otoo as Kubo, Yasushi Fuchikami as Takeda, Shuichiro Naito as Nobuto Matori. The film is directed by Yakahiro Aoyama.
Masashi Asaki also released an illustration to commemorate the adaptation’s announcement, picturing Tetsuo Tosu doing one of his regular posies with Kuranosuke Sasaki, his live-action actor.

▍About My Home Hero
My Home Hero is a manga series written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki.
The story follows Tosu Tetsuo, your regular family man, salaryman, father, and who also happens to have written screenplays in college and writes mystery novels as a hobby.
Everything’s going fine for Tosu, he’s happily married, has a loving daughter who acts a little rebellious, and he just found out she has a boyfriend, and one day sees that she returns home beaten. Curious to find out what happens, he tails his daughter only to find out her boyfriend is affiliated with the Yakuza, and plans on assaulting her in his home.
Unwilling to let the injustice slide, Tosu confronts the gang member, and thus begins his spiral down into a life of crime, coverups, and doing whatever it is he can to keep his family together, no matter the cost to himself, or others.
