After the success of live action Gintama (銀魂), the hit manga is again adapted into a movie. The tentative title is Gintama Part 2 (銀魂パート2). It will premiere in 2018 Summer.
The cast and staff members are yet to be confirmed, but they are expected to return for the new work. The plot is also not revealed yet.
The movie opened on 14th July in Japan. It was ranked the best-selling manga-based live action movie in 2017, with a gross of 380 million yen in its home country alone.
The original manga of the same title is created by Hideaki Sorachi (空知英秋) and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. The story revolves around the daily life that is filled with both happiness and sadness of the Yorozuya trio (Sakata Gintoki, Kagura, Shimura Shinpachi). It is coming to an end very soon.
