Last week, Sega launched a teaser site for a mysterious Valkyria Project (ヴァルキュリア). It is unveiled to be Valkyria Chronicles 4 (戦場のヴァルキュリア4) for PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and coming 2018.
The last title Valkyria Chronicles 3 was released seven years ago. The series first started in 2008 on PS3. The new title will be the sixth entry. Since the site provides seven language options including Japanese, Traditional Chinese, English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish, it is expected to be available in theses languages.
Sega has published a long announcement video that includes the development’s background and a Valkyria Chronicles 4 trailer.
▍Story
During the Second Europan War, Europa is ruled by two forces: the Federation and the Imperial. The former fights a losing battle, and wishes to turn the tables with “Northern Cross”. The protagonist from the Federation army shoulders his friends’ wishes and sacrifices, in attempt to put an end to this cruel war.
