Hajime Kamoshida’s (鴨志田 一) light novel series Seishun Buta Yaro (青春ブタ野郎) is getting a TV anime adaption. It will air in October 2018.
Different from usual light novel series’ practice in which all volumes share the same title, Kamoshida adopts a new name for each publication. The anime is named after the first book, Seishun Buta Yaro wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai (青春ブタ野郎はバニーガール先輩の夢を見ない).
Serialised since 2014, the series revolves around Puberty Syndrome – a strange phenomenon unique to teenagers and lives on as an urban legend that no one ever believes. The patients may be able to hear one’s inner speech, meet one’s future self in present time, exchange personality with someone else…and so on. High school student Sakuta Azusagawa suffers from the said syndrome. While everyone is reluctant trust him, he meets a senior who shares the same fate – Mai Sakurajima, and he decides to give her a hand.
