Produced by Neon Genesis Evangelion studio Gainax, the new movies from OVA series FLCL, short for Fooly Cooly, reveal titles and more details in the latest trailer. The first movie FLCL: Alterna (フリクリ オルタナ) is coming on 7th September, followed by FLCL: Progre (フリクリ プログレ) coming on 28th September.
Katsuyuki Motohiro (Psycho Pass) is the director of the movies, with screenplay provided by Hideto Iwai and character design provided by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto.
▍FLCL: Alterna
Altern is the short form of Alternative Rock in Japanese.
The story introduces Kana, an average student who suddenly has a flower emerge from her forehead. She needs Haruko to save her and everyone.
