The snacks are gone, and so are the eye candies like Hotaru. Kotoyama’s (琴山) manga series Dagashi Kashi (だがしかし) finally finishes its four-year serialisation today.
The last chapter is published in Weekly Shonen Sunday’s 20th issue, which is sold starting today. Kotoyama posted a sketch of Hajime Owari along with a short blog entry on the magazine’s site to announce the ending. The mangaka said he would continue drawing after Dagashi Kashi, but no concrete details were given.

Dagashi Kashi revolves around Kokonotsu Shikada, whose father runs a sweets store and wishes him to inherit it. Shidare Hotaru is the daughter of a business man who owns a successful snacks company. Her surprise visit to recruit Kokonotsu changes his boring daily life and ignites his passion for snacks. Two anime seasons have been made so far.
