DeNA is developing a mobile based on classic Weekly Shonen Jump manga Slam Dunk (スラムダンク) exclusively for China.
The game is a sports title featuring fans’ favorites slike Hanamichi Sakuragi and Kaede Rukawa. It allows players to play against each in real time online basketball match.
Pre-registration requires a Chinese mobile phone number and SMS verification, however the closed beta will come out soon and fans outside China will also get to play without a Chinese number.
This untitled mobile game is coming this year.
Takehiko Inoue (井上雄彦) created the manga in 1990. It finished in 1996 but is still considered one of best sports manga nowadays. The official English description by Viz reads…
