Sega has just announced the first mobile adaption ever for their classic RPG series Phantasy Star (ファンタシースター) !
The developer breaks the news on a count down site that opens today. It says the mobile RPG is a “commemoration work” for Phantasy Star Series’ 30th anniversary. No other details are available.
Phantasy Star was first released in 1987 for the Master System. The original series features a Dragon Quest-like overworld RPG system. The spin-offs, however, are made as action RPG and turn-based RPG. The latest title Phantasy Star Nova came out in 2014.
The game will be revealed on 24th July.
