First announced in March this year, the new City Hunter animation movie gives fans new updates today.
City Hunter The Movie (劇場版シティーハンター) is made for commemorating the TV anime series’ 30th anniversary. Many previous staff members, including director Kenji Kodama and the original seiyuu cast, have reprised their roles in this film. The plot remains mysterious at the moment.
A new teaser trailer comes out today to introduce some characters to be featured in the story.
City Hunter The Movie will premiere on 8th February 2019.
Serialised from 1985 to 1991, City Hunter is written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo (北条 司). The story revolves around Ryo, a dandy private detective also dubbed the City Hunter, and his partner Akira, a not-so-feminine girl who secretly likes Ryo. It has been adapted into multiple anime works in Japan and even live action drama/film in Hong Kong and Korea.
