Classic dodgeball anime Hono no Tokyuji: Dodge Danpei is getting a mobile game released exclusively in Korea. Titled Dodge Danpei: En Shoot no Densetsu (ドッジ弾平:炎シュートの伝説) in Japanese, it will come out on 6th September 2018.
Hono no Tokyuji: Dodge Danpei is originally a manga created by Tetsuhiro Koshita (こした てつひろ) and published in Shogakukan’s CoroCoro Comic between 1989 and 1995. The story revolves around Danpei Ichigeki, an elementary school kid talented in dodge ball so much that he can break a giant tombstone with a single shot. Its popularity even made dodge ball a very popular sport in Japan back in the early 90s.
The mobile game is made by Sakura Wars: Sakura no Uta‘s developer Snowpipe. It features characters from the manga and their classic moves. Players can choose to play single in story mode or competitive in online mode.
Dodge Danpei: En Shoot no Densetsu will be available on Android first. The iOS version will come out later.
