The first details of Fate/stay night (フェイト/ステイナイト) strategic board game, titled as Dominate Grail War -Fate/stay night on Board Game-, is finally out! Pre-orders are available starting today (25th May) and the official release date will be 3rd August.
Produced by DELiGHTWORKS (ディライトワークス) and board game publisher BakaFire Party, the board game invites players to step inside the Fate/stay night universe and participate in the Holy Grail War.
As one of the masters, players can summon heroic spirits as servants and fight against the possession of the Holy Grail, which can grant any wishes for its possessor. The true name of the servants will be hidden when the game starts and it will hold the key to win in this tactical battle game. The game is suitable for 3-7 players.
▍Feature 1: Servants are Randomly Appointed
In the card game, players will be randomly appointed as the master of one servant. As different servants hold various abilities, different strategies will be needed for each round. The Noble Phantasms (宝具), which is the weapons or abilities owned by Heroic Spirits, is also crucial in the game.
▍Feature 2: Collect Military Achievements to Win the Game
The game will be divided into several rounds and players who have the greatest military achievements will be the winner. The military achievements can be obtained by battling against other players or accepting reconnaissance missions. The use of Noble Phantasms during battles can help players collect more military achievements, but a large amount of magical power is needed.
▍Feature 3: The Hidden Servants Name is the Key
As the true name of the servants is hidden when the game starts, players can choose its revealing time. Disclosing the servant name can release his/ her Noble Phantasms, but it will also tell his abilities to other players. Thus, timing is incredibly important when deciding on when and where to reveals a servant’s name.

Pre-order will start from 25th May to 17th June at the DELiGHTWORKS store. Pre-oder bonuses will also be available to those to those who pre-order the game.
▍About Fate/stay night
Fate/stay night (フェイト/ステイナイト) is a Japanese visual novel developed by Type-Moon, which was originally released as an adult game for Windows. A version of Fate/stay night rated for ages 15 was then released for the PlayStation 2 and later for download on Windows as a trilogy covering the three main storylines.
The franchise gained huge popularity and have been adapted into manga, TV anime, animated film, and light novels.
The plot focuses on a young mage named Shirou Emiya (衛宮士郎), who becomes a warrior in a battle between “Servants” known as the Holy Grail War. Through each route, Shirou bonds with a heroine and confronts different mages who participate in the war.
