Based on the tactical simulation RPG mobile game The Alchemist Code, anime film For Whom the Alchemist Exists (誰ガ為のアルケミスト) revealed new visuals. The film will open in Japan’s theaters on 14th June.
Macross creator Shoji Kawamori (河森正治) is credited the chief director on the project as he directed the opening video for the game. Produced by Satelight, the film will be directed by Masanori Takahashi (高橋 正典) and written by Toshizo Nemoto (歳三根元). Singer song-writer Huwie Ishizaki (石崎ひゅー) will perform the film’s opening song ‘Namida’ and ending song ‘That Summer Day’s Magic’ (あの夏の日の魔法).
▍Story
The story of For Whom the Alchemist Exists sets t in Babel, a magical continent situated beneath the looming Tower of Babel. The film focuses on Kasumi (カスミ), an ordinary high school girl who is summoned to the world of Babel from Earth in an effort to prevent the Sorcerers of Darkness from conquering the world. Voice actress Inori Minase (水瀬 いのり) will play the anime original character Kasumi.
