TV anime adaptation of AZU’s Magical Sempai (手品先輩) is confirmed to premiere on 2nd July. Its opening theme song, Fantastic Illusion, will be performed by idol group i☆Ris.
The series is animated by Liden Films and directed by Koi to Uso’s (恋と嘘) assistant director Fumiaki Usui (文明 臼井), with Rintarou Ikeda (池田 臨太郎) handling the series’ composition, and Takeshi Hama (はまたけし) composing the music.
▍Story
The story begins when the protagonist, the Assistant, is forced to join a club as part of school regulations. He ends up joining a stage magic club. However, the sempai in the club has performance anxiety and performs every trick wrong on stage. The comedian story begins as the Assistant help his sempai to be a proper magician.
