A new Yo-kai Watch TV anime series is announced under the title of Yo-Kai Academy Y: An Encounter With N (妖怪学園Y ～Nとの遭遇～) and will premiere on 27th December. The series will be animated by OLM studio.
The series is set in the same yokai hero high school academy setting as Yo-kai Watch Jam the Movie: Yo-kai Academy Y – Can a Cat be a Hero (映画 妖怪学園Y 猫はHEROになれるか), the sixth film in the series, and will continue the film’s story.
Musical unit Sutopuri performs the opening theme song “Gingira Ginga,” written and composed by Vocaloid producer Nayutalien. Each weekly episode will play a different version of the ending theme song “Let’s Go to Y Academy” (Y学園へ行こう). The singers of the different versions are R.O.N, 96Neko, Soraru, +α/Alpha-Kyun, and Sutopuri.
