Anime adaptation of Kyo Shirodaira (城平京) and Chasiba Katase’s (片瀬茶柴) supernatural mystery manga In/Spectre (虚構推理) is confirmed to air on 11th January 2020. A new visual and additional cast is also revealed.
“Endride” director Keiji Gotoh (後藤圭二) is directing the anime at Brains Base, while “Kuroko’s Basketball” scriptwriter Noboru Takagi (高木 登) is in charge of the series scripts.
Uso to Chameleon (嘘とカメレオン) will perform the series’ opening theme song, “Mononoke in the fiction” (モノノケ・イン・ザ・フィクション), while voice actor Mamoru Miyano (宮野真守) will perform the ending theme song, “Last Dance”.

▍Story
At the young age of 11, Kotoko Iwanaga was abducted by youkai (Japanese monsters) for two weeks and asked to become their “God of Wisdom,” a mediator between the spirit and human worlds, to which the girl quickly agreed but at the cost of her right eye and left leg.
Now, six years later, whenever youkai wish for their problems to be solved, they make their way to Kotoko for consultation. Meanwhile, Kurou Sakuragawa, a 22-year-old university student, has just broken up with his girlfriend after he fled alone when the two encountered a kappa (a turtle-like monster).
