Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- (ヒプノシスマイク -Division Rap Battle-) releases the debut CD “Bad Ass Temple Funky Sounds” for its Nagoya Division “Bad Ass Temple” today (27th November). The MV for the solo singles of its three team members was also streamed.
▍Solo MV
First up is group leader Kuko Harai (CV Shouta Hayama), a devout but foul-mouthed Buddhist monk. His track, “Samgharama BAM,” was composed by SOUL’d OUT lead Diggy-MO’.
Next is glam rocker Jyushi Aimono (CV Yuki Sakakihara) with “Moonlight Shadow,” composed by visual kei band Leetspeak monsters.
Finally, lawyer Hitoya Amaguni (CV Eiji Takeuchi) performs “One and Two, and Law” by CHIVA (BUZZER BEATS) and KURO (Home Made Kazoku).
The CD will also include their title song, “Bad Ass Temple Funky Sounds”, which is composed of Nagoya-based hip hop band “nobodyknows+”, and a drama track featuring the three cast.

Hypnosis Mic is a popular rap franchise by King Records under their Evil Line Records label. The characters were designed by Idea Factory under their Otomate label, with Yuichiro Momose as the main scenario writer.
It sets in a world where war is waged not with weapons, but words. At the project’s beginning in Sept. 2017, it focussed on four main units named Buster Bros!!!, MAD TRIGGER CREW, Fling Posse, and Matenrou, each controlling and fighting for their own territory. “Bad Ass Temple” is the six rap division of the mixed media project.
