Dengeki G’s Magazine, Lantis and Sunrise multimedia project “Love Live! School Idol Project” (ラブライブ!) announced a new TV anime project, seven years after the first anime of the franchise.
Though details and release date is not yet confirmed, the anime project has called for an open audition for a new cast member on 12th March 2020. The auditions are restricted to unmarried women from the ages of 15 to 22, and will not accept applications from those with existing contracts with record companies or talent management agencies.
More information is expected to be revealed in Kadokawa’s Love Live! Days Love Live! Sōgō Magazine Vol. 05 issue on 30th December.
A new anime title “Love Live! Nijigasaki Academy’s School Idol Appreciation Club ” was previously announced in December, introducing members from the Perfect Dream Project. But the new anime project is expected to focus on other idol groups from the franchise.
▍About Love Live!
“Love Live!” is a multimedia project co-developed by Sunrise, Lantis, and ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki G Magazine. The project revolves around a group of nine schoolgirl friends who become idols in order to save their school from shutting down.
A 13-episode anime television series produced by Sunrise, aired between January and March 2013, with a second season airing between April and June 2014. An animated film titled “Love Live! The School Idol Movie” was distributed by Shochiku and released in June 2015. A follow-up project focusing on a new set of idols, titled “Love Live! Sunshine!!”, launched in 2015.
