The live-action film of Rurouni Kenshin (るろうに剣心) reveals a new teaser video for the “final chapter” of the movie series. The first part “Rurouni Kenshin Final Chapter The Final” will open in Japan on 3rd July 2020, while the second part “Rurouni Kenshin Final Chapter The Beginning” will open on 7th August 2020.
The video is highlighted by the intense fight between Kenshin and Enishi, who is played by Mackenyu Arata (新田真剣佑). Enishi is one of the main antagonists of the series, who seeks revenge on Kenshin for killing his older sister.
“Rurouni Kenshin Final Chapter The Final” will feature the “Jinchū” arc, and highlight the conflict between Kenshin and the mysterious weapons dealer Enishi. “Rurouni Kenshin Final Chapter The Beginning” will tell the story of how Kenshin got his cross-shaped scar.
Takeru Satoh (佐藤 健) is reprising his role as Himura Kenshin (緋村 剣心), together with Emi Takei (武井 咲) as Kamiya Kaoru (神谷 薫), Munetaka Aoki (青木 崇高) as Sagara Sanosuke (相楽 左之助), Yū Aoi (蒼井 優) as Megumi Takani (高荷 恵). Riku Ohnishi (大西利空) is newly cast as Myōjin Yahiko (明神 弥彦).
Yosuke Eguchi (江口 洋介) also returns as Hajime Saitō (斎藤 一). The film series is directed by Keishi Ōtomo (大友 啓史).
