The second season of TV anime “Fruits Basket” (フルーツバスケット) will enter the 2nd cour on 6th July 2020. A new key visual and PV has been revealed.
The PV also gives a sneak preview of the series’ climax as Tohru struggles to break the curse of the Soma family, even with the obstruction of Akito Sohma (CV: Maaya Sakamoto). It also builds up the tension when Akito pushes Isuzu Soma (CV: Aki Toyosaki) out of the window.

Singer songwriter Asako Toki (土岐麻子) performs the 2nd cour’s opening song “HOME”, while pop band MONKEY MAJIK performs the ending song “Eden.”

▍Synopsis
The story centers on Tohru Honda, an orphan girl who, after meeting Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Sohma, learns that twelve members of the Sohma family are possessed by the animals of the Chinese zodiac and are cursed to turn into their animal forms when they are weak, stressed, or when they are embraced by anyone of the opposite sex that is not possessed by a zodiacal spirit.
As the series progresses, Tohru learns of the hardships and pain faced by the afflicted Sohmas, and through her own generous and loving nature, helps heal their emotional wounds.

▍Staff and Production
The staff reprises their roles from the first season. The series is produced by TMS Entertainment and directed by Yoshihide Ibata (井端義秀). Taku Kishimoto (岸本卓) is handling series composition, while Masaru Shindou (進藤優) is in charge of character designs.
