With the release of Shinsengumi members’ headshots, live-action Gintama（銀魂）has revealed all headshots of the main cast. The three shinsengumi members, Hijikata Toshirou, Kondou Isao and Okita Sougo are portrayed by Yagira Yuya, Nakamura Kankuro and Yoshizawa Ryo respectively.

Live-action Gintama is set in the Edo period of Japan. The plot is based off the Benizakura Arc（紅桜篇）from the original Gintama. In this arc, Katsura Kotaro is attacked by Kiheitai, a terrorist group lead by Takasgi Shinsuke, who is a childhood friend of Katsura and Gintoki. The Yorozuya trio (Gintoki, Shinpachi and Kagura) then go searching for him and the searching eventually turns into bloodshed. Gintama is adapted from the manga of the same title, which is illustrated by Hideaki Sorachi and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump.
